Installation Tips
- Setup – Place the sprayer on a level surface near the paint container. Insert the siphon tube into the paint bucket. Connect the high-pressure hose to the sprayer outlet and to the spray gun. Attach the 517 tip and tip guard.
- Priming – Turn the pressure control to its lowest setting. Turn on the sprayer. Slowly increase pressure until paint flows steadily from the prime/ spray valve. Switch to spray position and trigger the gun into a waste bucket until paint flows smoothly.
- Pressure Adjustment – Adjust pressure using the digital display. Start low and increase gradually until the spray pattern is fully atomized with no tails or spatters. Thicker paints require higher pressure.
- Spraying Technique – Hold the gun 12-14 inches from the surface. Move your arm in smooth, parallel strokes, keeping the gun perpendicular to the surface. Trigger at the start of each stroke and release at the end. Overlap each pass by 50%.
- Cleaning & Storage – Flush the system with water (for latex) or solvent (for oil-based paints) immediately after use. Remove and clean the filter, tip, and tip guard. Store with pump protector to prevent corrosion.

- Clean the sprayer thoroughly after each use according to the coating manufacturer’s recommendations. Do not leave paint or solvent in the system to dry – this will permanently damage the pump.
- Disconnect power before cleaning, servicing, or unclogging the tip. The sprayer may start automatically if pressure drops – always unplug.
