Warnings and Safety Notes
- Performance depends on your cable and devices – To achieve true 80Gbps, 240W, and 16K video, you MUST use a certified USB4 or Thunderbolt 5 cable (not included). A standard USB 3.0 cable will limit speeds to 5-10Gbps and power to 60-100W. Lower quality cables may not work at all with this adapter.
- Not certified by USB-IF – This adapter is not officially certified by the USB Implementers Forum or Intel for Thunderbolt. The claimed speeds are theoretical maximums. Actual performance may vary based on device, cable quality, and environmental factors.
- Magnetic strength – The magnetic connection is strong enough for desk use but may disconnect if bumped hard or if the cable is tugged. This is by design to protect ports, but do not use in high-vibration environments (vehicles, drones, moving machinery) where unintended disconnection could cause data loss.
- Keep away from credit cards and magnetic media – The adapter contains strong neodymium magnets. Keep away from credit cards, hotel key cards, hard drives, mechanical watches, pacemakers, and other magnetic-sensitive devices to prevent damage or data corruption.
- No data transfer while disconnected – When the magnetic connection is broken, data transfer stops immediately. Do not use for critical file transfers where interruption could cause data corruption. Save your work before moving the device.
